Lillian Thoms has come along way in terms of her professional journey. A unique and dynamic individual Lillian has a background within film, music and of course the wonderful wild world of digital marketing.
“I wanted to get into film, a friend of mine was living in St KIlda, Melbourne at the time and she was at VCA and needed someone to help with her production team. I was based in Sydney, working within an actors co-op and doing great things with events and shows out of a Surrey HIlls warehouse. So we joined forces and I moved to Melbourne to work with her and set up shop here.” Lillian Thoms
Lillian went onto work on many independent films, teaming up eventually with Avant-garde film director Gianfranco Di Iorio of Pallendino Productions where they produced an award winning docco ‘Incurable Romantics’ about the impact of and living with HIV.
From there Lillian’s passion for music, never far from the surface eventually took hold and she secured a job @Shock Records as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Management team of Shock Records, the largest Independent Music Distributor at the time in Australasia. A job she secured through her film work experience.
“I totally bluffed my way into the job….I had the skills and drive to do it, but no real administrative experience. The rest is history” Lillian Thoms
Leaving shock 2 years later to pursue music fulltime Lillian went onto to study at the prestigious Boxhill Tafe school of music then toured and recorded for the next few years. Managing herself and her band, implementing her own marketing and publicity, which she did not only for herself but other artists also. Making an impact on the local music scene, she utilised her production skills, administrative experience and natural flair for marketing to establish many platforms for female artists, recognising a real gap in the industry when it comes to supporting female artists locally.
“I loved watching other female artists, both locally and touring artists, going to gigs, buying product, learning from my peers. I never bought into any competitive bullsh*&%t I’ve always believed there is enough for everyone and the only way to get there is through mutual support and encouragement” Lillian Thoms
This is the psychology she brings to the Adult Industry, everyone is different, everyone has their own brand and their own look they just need help developing, cultivating and promoting that to their audience.
The final cog to the wheel is of course the Digital Marketing. Remembering we now have extensive film, music and administrative experience the absolute final complimentary skill is digital marketing & sales.
“Taking my combined talents and drive online I recognised that the internet was the way to go and that digital was going to give me a way to implement my skills and talents in ways I’d had never imagined” Lillian Thoms
A natural Digital talent Lillian has worked with some of the biggest Digital Publishers in the world (literally) and smaller but well established local Australian publishers, both digital and print. Eventually branching out on her own like a lot of talent she established her consultancy in 2015 working with local businesses while teaming up with a large outsourcing company in the Philippines, introduced to her by her local developer. From there, Lillian went onto develop her own team, as it is quite common for the large outsourcing companies O.S. both in the Philippines & India not to work with adult industry, even though it is mostly legal here within Australia.
Not one to be stopped by business not willing to work with my industry and client businesses, I went onto grow and cultivate my own team through someone who had worked with me all along & had branched out on her own. Through her we found and interviewed the team through word of mouth and the rest is history. Our ADP team now boasts, 3 developers, an administrative & social media assistant and consultants we bring aboard as needed. Our team are young and fresh but with combined experience between them of over 10 years, working within the best companies and studying @ the best universities in the Philippines. Lillian Thoms
